Assisted Living Program

We work with two licensed assisted living centers:

The Sheakum Center for behavioral modification and vocational rehabilitation. We used our feral cat program to spay/neuter more than 45 cats within a 4 month period. We have been involved in Pet Therapy with the residents, teaching them proper pet responsibility which includes taking care of the ferals and their companion animals.

The Tender Hearts Assisted Living facility for the mentally disadvantaged. We have an on-going pet therapy program which includes providing food for the companion animals and helping with all medical problems, etc. These people are on such a limited budget that after all is paid they are left with as little as $30.00 or $40.00 dollars a month... this would be for their personal needs. Taking care or even getting routine shots for their animal is a hardship.
