Friends for Animals has no kenneling facilities. We operate on a foster program basis, which enables our animals to go into a loving environment while receiving medical attention or whatever is needed for rehabilitation. Animals are fostered until they are adopted. We have no time limit on our adoptions. All potential adopters are screened in person and if they qualify, they are asked to sign an adoption agreement.

Meet Skipper: This is beautiful Skipper. He is a Border Collie Mix, who is about 3 years old. He was rescued by Downtown Dog Rescue in September, 2003. He had been abandoned in a very bad area in Downtown Los Angeles. He needed medical attention and is ready for a new home and his Second Chance. He's a fabulous dog that loves to go on long walks and ride in the car. This guy likes other dogs, but prefers females. He knows basic commands and is very smart. He's a sweetheart. Please give him a second look, he deserves it.

Meet Ava: Ava is a purebred German Shepherd. She is approximately 4-5 years old and a wonderful, loving dog. She gets along with everyone and is a joy to be around. Ava was found just wandering around downtown Los Angeles. Even though she had been abandoned and was extremely thin and exhausted, she was sweet from the very first moment we got her. Meet Beverly Hillbillies, aka Jebbie and Virgil: These guys are extremely sweet and are brothers. They are Lab mixes and have that personality. One has alot of Brindle markings and the other is more black with some Brindle markings. These sweet boys are 4 months old and really need homes. KingKong
Meet KingKong: This is an 18 lb. beautiful boy... his owner died and unfortunately no provisions were made for this lovely boy. Basically, he was abandoned by the relatives. A neighbor took him in but could not keep him. He is declawed and was just left outside. King is about 6 years old and very healty and really sweet and good natured. He is big and beautiful. He really deserves a loving home... please consider him.
